Can the plastice bag be recycled to make into fashion handbag?i heard a news from India.some fashion designers collect the plastic bags and recycled them into fashion handbag.is anyone know this news.hope someone can tell me more about this;)

I haven’t heard about that but I did see a news story about some fashion totebag in NY that says ‘Not a plastic bag’ on it and some stores (like Albertson’s and Walmart) have recycling bins for plastic bags.

I’ll have to look up the India thing.-That’s another reminder that this IS NOT some US political game.

Yes, an Indian NGO called Conserve has developed an unique technique to recycle used plastic bags into beautiful handbags, totes and other accessories. These are available in selected outlets in Europe and the US. They work with disadvantaged women from the slums of Delhi and are tackling one of the major environmental hazards and turning it into a value added item. Visit http://www.conserveindia.org to get more details and a catalogue of their innovative products.
